Dragonfly In Amber, inspired by the fossilized dragonfly in amber that Jamie Fraser gives to his wife, Claire, as she leaves him behind in Scotland, in the year 1947. Jamie joins forces to fight in the final confrontation of the Jacobite Rising that was the Battle of Culloden, as he sends Claire to travel back to her own time to save the life of their unborn child, and return to Frank, in the year 1968. Author of the Outlander book series, Diana Gabaldon, describes the dragonfly in amber as a symbol of Jamie and Claire's marriage, a metaphor for something of great beauty that is preserved and exists out of its proper time.

Yarn Bases:
Dreamer Lace ($32): 70% Kid Mohair, 30% Silk - approximately 473 yards/ 432 meters, 50 grams (Lace Weight) | Durable and warm, perfect on its own or to hold with another strand of yarn.
*Please note: Due to the nature of the dyeing process, hand-dyed yarn tends to vary slightly both between and within dye lots. When using more than one skein of a colourway in a project, I recommend alternating skeins every few rows.
All yarn has been thoroughly washed after going through the dye process. That being said, some excess pigment may remain, and may transfer onto other colourways in the garment when being washed. Please keep that in mind when washing your projects.
